Scarborough’s Beached Festival will be taking a break this year due to organiser Mike Lynskey having a new addition to his family.
Mike who began the festival back in 2001 has decided to take paternity leave from Beached to spend time with his new baby girl Ruby.
Mike said “The festival takes all year to organise and takes up a lot of my time. I’ve been looking for funding and investment for a few months now and although a good percentage of the budget has been found, having a new baby means time is against us”.
“Although we are all very disappointed that this years festival won’t be taking place, we will be working with Scarborough Borough Council, new partners and new sponsors to make Beached 2010 a reality”.
Ruby Elizabeth Lynskey was born 7th March 2009 weighing 7lb 9oz.
